Best brand of show halter?

I have been looking at several halters. I would love to get a Phil Harris but cant pay that much. I have been looking at Kathys, Tory, Billy Royal, etc.

Whats the best quality for the money?

Harris silver halters aren't really any better than Kathy's sterling halters. And Kathy's are top of the line. Chavez used to have very nice halters but so many have gotten a cheap look to them. Blue Ribbon makes some decent ones but for the money, Kathy's are the best!

I much prefer Broken Horn show halters over Kathy's -- personal preference

They're not bad. Just don't have that "look" to them that I like.

Broken Horn is barely an hour from me -- it comes in handy when you can walk in and actually customize your halter. I find the silver detail to be far higher in quality. Their leather has shifted a smidge in quality, not bad, just different which would be my only complaint.

Ah, but you can always custom order Kathy's as well

Slotted or 3 piece buckles, regular or congress cut, over a dozen different color stones, at least 30 different patterns, light or dark oil.... 1/2 moons or not (even on regular cut halters).. options are endless!
