Belle could be foaling very soon!

She just laid down about 25 minutes ago. Prior to that she had been standing up for 40 hours straight without laying down. With her past two foals this has been her habbit, last year she stood for 48 hours then went down and had the baby out in 20 minutes. So we are anticipating the same routine with this foal.

Right now she's doing this funny little rocking thing, like she almost wants to lay full out but then catches herself and comes back to lying sternal. Poor thing is so tired.

So, keep your eyes sharp, we could be seeing a baby Clyde before the night is over.

funny I noticed that she finally laid down tonight too seems like it has been days since I have seen her leave that back wall.

Yes, back up and back to munching on her hay. I'm going to hit the hay here very soon, I was hoping she'd have it before I'd have to go to bed, but this is about as late as I dare stay up.

I still hope she goes tonight! For Tracey's sake.

I'm new to this site but its good to read how everyone else gets so anxious about the impending foaling. My mare is due to foal in 2 weeks, although I don't think it will be that long and I am getting so nervous. Good luck with Belle's foaling and look forward to the pictures.

She is in the homestretch, it's like she keeps thinking about it.... right now she keeps sniffing the ground like she wants to lay down but then changes her mind, she's also shifting her weight on her hind legs quite frequently.

No updates from her owner, Tracey, since this morning. But she looks so close. All us marestare addicts are glued to our computers.

It is about 2:30 my time (Pacific I think, sorry I am in AZ and we don't change time) anyway, I bet she has it within the next 3 hours. She keeps shifting and is not comfortable at all.

Poor Belle! I hope she has it soon, she's got to be miserable...
