Thanks, we went through so much with her in that first couple of months but she is a wonderful filly and we love her (and her momma) so much!

This is Minot. She is a 5yo Percheron/ Thoroughbred cross filly and is about 17+ hands. She was a PMU foal, and we adopted her from "Minot", North Dakota when she was almost a yearling. When she arrived, she was completely wild and afraid of people. She was full of every possible worm and was really skinny. It took a few days for us to touch her with a fly rod fishing pole (her show name is "Fishin for a Minot"

) and a then couple days later for us to take the blue halter off that she had been shipped to us in. Now as a 5yo, I ride beginning hunters and dressage with her, and she helps me teach riding lessons.

She is huge... close to 17 hands now actually!! She's 5 now, so I'm hoping she will be done growing soon... haha

I wouldn't trade my rescue for anything . She's turned(turning) into everything i've ever wanted in a horse .

Here is a horse that we rescued about 8 years ago. He was on his way to the killers with a really badly injured knee.
We had to lift him into the trailer to bring him home. He was about 300 lbs. underweight.
Our vet told us he would probably not be rideable, his knee was so bad.
We worked our butts off to bring him back. He was such a good boy.

Here he is a year later in the picture that we sent to Purina
for their Senior Feed Contest.
He won at 2 different feed stores and we won 1000lbs of Purina Senior Feed.

Here he is today... we sold him to a young girl for a dollar.
They are in love and she keeps winning belt buckles on him all over Missouri and the midwest.
We found out by accident that he was an incredible barrel and pole horse.

It was tough to let him go... but he's really enjoying his new girl.
