LOL... my Ferrier says, " I swear this horse looks younger every time I come"! It took a long time to get her feet balanced again and get her a decent TopLine, but she was a darling to work with.

Izzy, when I got her in March 2009... these photos aren't very good to show the shape she was in because of her heavy winter coat but keep in mind she was due to FOAL in 4 weeks!
She had bite and kick marks on her, you could feel and see her ribs and spine... her ribs were like a shelf because she had no muscle

This was 2 weeks after we got her and started stuffing her full of food. You can see how thin she still was but poor baby isis was growing like crazy inside her!

And here is Ms. Izzy today (6.5 months later)

Pepsi Bar Dancer "Serenity" the day we got her April 22, 2008.
Its taken with a cell phone. She was skin and bones but its covered up by her winter coat and she was at LEAST 9 months pregnant!

Most her really bad skinny pics are still on a cell phone that is no longer in service so i can't get to them.

I think Isis was/is a pretty average size foal... in that photo poor Izzy had just totally dropped and was ready to foal.

Here is Isis at about a week old... she had a septic hock (hock infection) and had just come home from the vet hospital in this photo (she came home for a day before going back for another 2 weeks during which time they had to do surgery on her hock)

Here she is just this past weekend, now coming up on 6 months old
Happy and healthy!!
