New Pics!

Alright everyone, I took Porche on her first trail ride with us yesterday. She has obviously had some very good training and at the same time whoever owned her last must have made her run non-stop. She didnt spook at anything and was very bold but at the same time she would not relax and just walk either, she was constantly wanting to just go go go so we did a ton of prancing. lol

Anyway, here are pics of her just after the ride and then enjoying her dinner after a hose down.
Enjoy!

Oh my gosh! She looks totally amazing. You wouldn't even know it was the same horse! Look at that shiny coat!

Glad you rescued her!

Thanks! My brother had'nt seen her since day 5 and then came out last weekend and asked if we got rid of the "rescue horse" I was like, "nope, that's her right there", he just couldnt believe it. I am amazed at how well she responds to leg cues, neck reining and verbal commands. I can hop on her in the pasture and she is a total sweet heart. I can even ride her with a halter and a lead just hooked on like I would lead her and she will spin like a reining horse just with leg pressure!! Makes me sad how hyped up she gets on the trail though Very obvious someone used her as a racing machine so much she thinks she HAS to run out there. To see her on the trail you'd never know it's the same mare my 9yr old can handle on the ground. Ah well though, she will soon learn that trails are meant to be fun and relaxing cuz she will be on them ALOT this year..lol

Thanks for your kind words

KIM

This is a 16yr old QH mare, her hair cut is terrible thanks to no body clipper and the worst lice infestation I've ever seen

So here is my girl...
