Nice job, Native Winds! Isn't it satisfying to see some dingy old thing get spruced up. Were you also the kid who polished the family cars, shoes, bicycles, the household's flatware, furniture, did windows, whatever?? I did that. Growing up rural without computers and cable TV, I had to make my own hobbies, particularly in winter, ha ha. :-)

Do you do clean tack for a fee? I'm wondering how many people in my locale would be willing to pay, and how much. The Amish clean saddles, but they are a little sloppy, they have limited hours, don't travel, and have no phone and no lights. I think I can take 'em, lol!

Thank you for the complement. I only did those jobs because I had to growing up but I always did them well. WHen I wash my poor truck I like to get it shiny and polished realy nice. I just like leather and always have. I remember cleaning an old saddle I bought when I was skid. I liked it. It was the cleanest saddle around. lol I began in college detailing saddles my first one being a very old saddle that had been ridden hard and put up wet. I did it for a professor of mine for a minimal charge. I used to have before pics and after pics of it but God only knows where they are. I just loved the satifaction of the ending result of a nice looking old saddle. After that I realy began getting into leather repairing and detailing. I bought an old english saddle at a FLea Market for 35 dollars. I detailed the saddle and oiled it up and what not and sold it for 75 dollars.
