Because I know nothing about bloodlines...

For everyone out there that has at least some clue to pedigrees, I'm looking for input on my filly's bloodline. She isn't listed on allbreed yet, but her sire and dam are. I'm not planning on selling my girl, just wanting to know what sort of pedigree she has to help me decide what discipline I'd like to train her in oneday. I'll include links to both the sire and dam's info, thanks everyone!

Sire: Mighty Brite Sun Appaloosa

Dam: Ok Skip-a-sugar Appaloosa

It looks to me like you got yourself a horse you can do whatever you want on. She has some halter in her background and cows. You'll just have to see how she grows up. Take her out and Halter her when she's young and when shes broke take it from there.

She carries the Bright Eyes blood lines on both sides. Bright Eyes horses have been shown at halter and in many different western events successfully. Many of the older appaloosas went from halter classes to riding classes easily. Her bloodlines don't scream any one event and I personally think it makes a horse better to train them for more than one event. While she is young and not yet rideable, I'd consider entering her in halter events, but be careful about how much weight she puts on as it is harder on their joints when you want to start riding them. And then when she is old enough to ride. Start with the basics and that really tells mewhat events to avoid and what a horse might be good at. I don't always go by blood lines to determine what to train my horses in. I go by conformation and build and temperment and ability to determine what events that horse might be good at.

and on a side note here:

On her sire side she carries the Sundance F500 bloodlines and that makes her eligible for a a certificate from the Sundance 500 group: see link.
story

On her dam side she also carries colorado rangerbred blood lines through the mare Top Flight Ok, so she could be dual registered as a Colorado Rangerbred.
