Battle of the breeds competition, Spruce meadows

Hey just a quick note here....wondering if anyone knows anything about this competition.

I am looking for any info including how to get involved, what classes you do (I know there are 4 classes and 4 teams and that only 2 horses must compete in ALL four, at least thats what I read).

But yeah, anyone knows anything about it I would appreciate hearing about it!

Thanx!

What I found out is:
Battle of the Breeds is a team competition designed to showcase the
versatility of equine breeds. Two members of each four-person team are
required to compete in all five required events: compulsory skills,
precision driving, barrel racing, trail, and jeopardy jumping

In the TELUS Battle of the Breeds, different breeds of horses are judged based on their abilities to perform unusual obstacle challenges in the Meadows on the Green Ring. The events include Compulsory Skills, Jeopardy Jumping, Barrel Racing, Trail Riding, and Precision Driving. Eleven breeds are represented by four horse/rider combinations. Two team members must compete in each event. The team with the most cumulative points is named breed champions.

Telus "Battle of the Breeds" Champions

1990 Team Paint
1991 Team Arabian
1992 Team Arabian
1993 Team Arabian
1994 Team Thoroughbred
1995 Team Arabian
1996 Team Canadian Sport Horse
1997 Team Thoroughbred
1998 Team Appaloosa
1999 Team Appaloosa
2000 Team Morgan
2001 Team Morgan
2002 Team Appaloosa
2003 Team Appaloosa

I guess I would contact Spruce Meadows for more specific information when it came to how to enter a team or who to contact about a specific team.
