I always use one of those rubber curry mits to rub the shampoo in. I also pre-dilute my shampoo at least 50/50. It makes a bottle last a lot longer. I use a sponge for the eyes, nose and dock area.

I just started doing this too. Actually I've started "concocting" shampoo. Take one empty shampoo bottle and I add about a half-cup of Ivory Non-Ultra Dish Soap, then add another half-cup of Hartz whitening dog shampoo, then fill the rest of the bottle with water and mix up. having a watery shampoo you can just squirt all over them is easier than doing a dollop here and a dollop there.

And I really doubt I'm the first to invent this idea, but I figured out a much faster way of rinsing suds or hosing off dirt when their hairy... Using a one handed scraper and my sprayer I'll spray the shoulder, then squeegee it, then spray it, then squeegee it, etc the dirty water comes off in a wave instead of gradually running down their legs and it gets the dirt out a lot faster. Same with shampoo, gets the suds out faster.

I use one of my stiff brushes to scrub them...cleans horse and brush in one go! I put some shampoo in a bucket, fill it up with water, dip the brush in and scrub away. Then rinse well and scrape with sweat scraper, and sheet until dry if necessary

I use stuff that is almost just like it...for the life of me, just can't think of it, and, but, it's a great product, as is the eqsolutions. It does a great job. And, I have a paint....he loves to get dirty....gets the job done!
