Barrel Racing Barrels?

Okay so I have recently gotten into barrel racing except one problem..i have no barrels! I've been using trash cans for a while but its getting annoying having to use them, and my foot often gets caught on the little handle and messes us up. So anybody know where i could go to find barrels for barrel racing?
Thanks!!!

You might be able to get some used 44 gal drums from a fuel depot somewhere. Putting out a want ad for 44 gal drums might get some responses

I'm sure you could get some free if you posted an ad somewhere and offered to pick them up

Know any farmers?

We have ton of 55 gallon drums sitting around the farm. Roundup used to come in them. Our are plastic. That's what I use. The plastic is lighter than metal and doesn't hurt if you hit them.

Most farms have a couple of these laying around.

Try car washes I believe they get their soap and such in the big plastic barrels or atleast the ones around here do and they give them away for free. Something else you could try is turning the trashcan upside down that might help

Here in oil country it's pretty easy to get the big oil drums for free or cheap.

If you can't find any, you could also look into those pop up barrels you can buy now.
