Barrel Racing

My barrel racing season is starting up in about two months and I was wondering if anyone knew any good exercises or stretches to help my horse get back in shape for it. Thanks!

Lots and lots of hill work or sea work.

Hills, any sort of long trail rides to build his endurance. I did a lot of circles too when I was prepp-ing to race in the spring. Big circles, little circles...it really helped him balance and gives him good flexibilty. Ride him AT least every other day, I used too and my horse was in great shape, we'd enter three or four runs and he wouldn't even break a sweat (and we'd haul A$$ )
