Update post 150Fire near Erika's barn -Evacuating horses

Erika (her username on here is also Erika) just had to leave her house frantically after a call from her barn owner/manager.

There is a fierce fire very near to her barn, and they are evacuating all of the horses.

I am really, really concerned for Erika as I know that fires are very scary, unpredictable, and outright dangerous.

Please keep Erika, the horses, and everyone else who might be helping out in your thoughts, and maybe even say a little prayer for them.

I will try to get updates on how they're doing.

Oh goodness, I hope they can get it under control

I wasn't aware that there were more wildfires going right now.

Oh, NO! I hope Erika's barn and the horses are safe! The fires in CA have been terrible!

Prayers and thoughts for all in the path of the fire! Fires are terrifing to say the least.

We had fires near our house a couple of years ago (also where the horses were) and it was one of the most terrifying things imaginable.

My thoughts are with her, her horse and all the other horses and owners.

Please keep us updated.

As Erika left her house and wasn't at the barn yet the flames were very visible. She is out there clearing tack as others are working to get horses out. So far so good I believe. The horses are going to a friends stable for the time being.

She texted me again 10 minutes ago saying that there were 3 horses remaining that they needed to get out, and they were panicking. I guess they are running out of time as the fire gets closer. My phone only just let it come through, so I'm not yet sure if they have those horses out yet.

Please continue to keep them in their thoughts.

They are in my thoughts - I hope everyone gets out okay. CA just isn't having a good year for fires

There's been quite a few small scares on HGS already and a few near my home also
