I'll be leaving in about an hour to go to the place where the horses are. I'll text Mindy and maybe try to have her update this if I find out anything significant.

Oh my, what an ordeal. I'm so glad that the horses are safe for the time being. I hope that the barn escapes unscathed as well.

I am glad to hear the horses are out of danger, I pray the fire don't get the barn, that would be terrible!

I haven't heard from Erika all afternoon. Of course... my phone doesn't work too well so it could just not be showing that she tried to get ahold of me.

Let's hope that no news is good news!

Okay, I just got off of the phone with Erika.

All of the horses are safe and happy. The barn they are at is not in any danger of the fire coming close to it... thank goodness!

The future of her real barn is not certain yet, though. It is still standing right now, but if the winds pick up it could very likely be burned to the ground.

Well, look at it this way. You can rebuild a barn but you can't replace some little girl's first horse. So I'm soo happy to hear the horses are ok. I'll pray for the barn.
