Band-it product. How does it work?

Has anyone used this for banding? It's supposed to make things go quicker/ neater. I was just wondering how it worked and if it does what they say.

I see how it would make them all the same size... because the comb would separate it evenly, but I have no idea how the tool beside it would work...

Yeah, I know. That's what I'm wondering. For the cost, I'm certainly willing to try it. Anything to make banding a little easier.

we bought this product for my then 8 year old daughter to learn to band. I find it bulky and akward, we only used it about 5 or 6 times. Difficult to operate for a young kid and the supervising adult. Hope that helps you make your decision.

I have it and I love it!! It does keep the bands the same size but that tool (the popper) you pull the hair through it with this hook and then push the band onto the hair with the popper. You actually put the band on the one end of the popper (wrapping several times like you would on the hair itself) and then are basically pushing that onto the section of hair. It takes me at least 1 hour to band without that thing and they are not very even but with it I can cut my time down to about 20 minutes average (as long as I don't have any interruptions). Plus it helps to keep the bands the same length from the crest.

It was sorta hard to figure out and get the hang of but once you do, it is great. Oh, and having good quality bands helps a ton! I have used some of the cheaper ones and they don't come off the popper as well.

If you want to buy something to throw in your tackbox that you'll never use and isn't useful, purchase it

I agree with apha..mom -- it's an awkward size and shape and I found myself fumbling with it more than anything, if I recall correctly, I threw it directly into the nearest trashcan and never looked back.

Your best tool to nice straight, even bands, is PRACTICE -- and by that I don't mean the night before the show

The first necessary step to a well turned out band job is a perfectly prepared mane.
