You can spray Pam cooking spray in their hooves after you get all of the snow out, or use Vaseline inside of the hoof. Both work pretty good...I use snow poppers so I don't have this problem right now, but those two have worked in the past.

If the Pam or Vaseline doesn't work ask your farrier to put pads on the fronts at next reset. I've always had to do with every winter with my Morgan.
