[Bailey-Boots]

Well I hope I am not boring you with some more pics of Bailey, but I thought as its the last show I would get a few pictures done. (last show until next season that is)

We had a great weekend - Weather was good and the atmosphere (sp) was brilliant. the show was really quiet compaired to the others in the year. only 82 entires and usually there are over 100 horses at least. needless to say there were hardly any stallions and the ones that did turn up didn't do halter (too early in the morning for some I guess LOL !!) Bailey did good and was well behaved. we won a nice suit cover that I can use for my show jacket - I also won 2 bags of feed but as its nothing that I would ever feed I didn't bring it back with me. (shame it wasn't just vouchers really)

Pat and Graham (Baileys Breeders & good friends) came over on the saturday and we had a nice lunch in the shade of the awning on the trailer (it was very hot!!) In one of the pics is Clare (comets owner) she is my best friend and a very good groom ! (I am always saying sorry because I feel like I boss her about a bit .. do this .. fetch that .. poor clare .. but she does prefer to be the groom than go in the ring - she is one in a million and we spent a great time on the saturday trail riding until dark around the show ground with comet)

We just took Comet and Bailey who were both great to show, comet got a 6th on both days in halter which we were pleased with as it was a good class of Aged geldings. Comet and Bailey get on well and I was even leading them around together, too and from the stable to the field so they could eat some grass. (I get a few strange looks from people thinking all Stallions are wild and would kill a gelding LOL !!)

The pics attached (fingers crossed) are of the purple ribbons anyway 3 grand and 1 resv. I am proud of the ribbons but to have a stranger come up to you and say what a nice horse is worth a 1000 ribbons in my book. He is not a typical 'impressive bred type' halter horse but I love the look of him and I am looking forward to next year when I can just ride him around the show ground and bimble about having fun. I love doing halter as I love doing all the prep (meet me at 4.30 am when I am washing my Grey Wannabe Paint horse's stable stains and I will be smiling ... but still asleep mind you!)

I took some pics in his Bosal .. it was the first time he had it on with all the horse hair reins thingy (boy that was fun to tie up ....4 hours later and it almost looks like the picture I got off the internet LOL !!) I am really pleased with the bosal and the reins, they look nice on him (well I think he looks pretty cool. I went for the most expensive one I could find as I thought it would be better quality and it is just stunning !!) but as I haven't really seen many in Bosals I don't know if it to high to low etc ?? The reins kept on tickling his nose when I held them .. it was funny. .... and for all the people that think he is an angel .. I have included the pic of me removing half a branch from his mouth (he figured out that he can eat and wear a bosal ... great!)

... and yes as soon as I saw the pics I thought .. oops I unzipped my jacket and forgot to zip it up oh well ! (it was very hot and boy was I pleased to take it off in the end !)

He's just stunning! Is he a gray or is there another name for his coloring? The undertones in it are wonderful. You did a great job of cleaning him up. Not a trace of a stain anywhere.

I wish my TB's mane would sit flat like that. It flip flops all over and stands up like a mohawk if I pull it short.

Debbie.... My jaw has dropped. Seriously!

He has always looked good but he is growing and filling out more and more. I am simply in awe of him. I know he has good conformation but his color is unreal.

We were just sitting here looking at the pictures and everyone I clicked on got an, 'Oh, my, Goodness!' from my wife.

I am mentally slow but have just now noticed the difference in his mane and tail colors. I have never seen a REAL horse tail as full as his. You are to be SOOOO comended. His markings are absolutely beautiful, simply beautiful.
How in the world you ever convinced Pat and Graham to sell him is beyond me.
I know you are proud of him. You down play his wins and say this and that, but I would not be afraid to lead him in any show here in the States.
When you back him off the trailor, everyone else is shooting for second place.
My hat is off to you young Lady.

Bailey....Congratulations again...thats seems to be all I say to you....that and WOW! lol He looks better and better every time. Seriously, Im warning you...you had better stop posting such awesome pictures of your gorgeous guy or I am gonna make a very long trip just to steal him LOL!
