BaD wOrDs ???  ok..I'm just wondering...what is going on?? did you know that simple words like "blond"..."yankee".. hillbilly...georgia peach..redneck are offensive BAD words and you can get sued???  I work at a waffle house and my manager got into SERIOUS trouble when she in a joking way said about a girl that works there --"you'll have to forgive her...she don't know no better..she's just a yankee"...(not even the girl complained)..she calls herself 'The Yankee'..so there shouldn't have been a problem... BUT someone overheard her..and got mad and said it was offensive to them and called the main office and my manager had to issue a formal apology and give them a free meal voucher--(which they wanted 'change' out of)..to keep from being sued.... Please someone..tell me...what are all the words when used that are OFFENSIVE...so I can avoid them...I grew up in PA--I was a yankee and proud of it...Now I live in TN..I'm a hillbilly yankee..i take no offense to this..what is the problem with this?? maybe it's just me...idk...are blond jokes going to be sueable(sp?) offenses?

That's ridiculous. I'm sorry, but no one can offend you unless you let them! And to get your knickers in a twist over something like that at all, let alone threaten legal action because it hurt your feelings... gah. Spare me! We're getting more and more sue-happy as time wears on. I'd like to think that had that particular "case" ever made it before a judge, it would've been thrown out. But you never know.

I know...dandy...I'm a hillbilly, redneck yank (although I'm not blond lol) and I see nothing wrong with it...i just don't know about some people..if something like that can go down...no one will EVER be able to say anything funny...w/o being sued..

It is getting silly. I worked for the school board down in Palm Beach County, and we werent allowed to say *Merry Christmas*, it had to be *Happy Holidays*, no Christmas Break, it was Winter Holiday..... This politicaly correct garbage is killing me!!!

That is your freedom of speech being infringed upon. In other words. I don't like what I heard. I have the right to sue you. I don't care if it was not intended for my ears, I heard it anyway. I live in the world of "I am going to sue you" people. Cause "I am broke and don't know how to make an honest living so I will try to get what you have" Why? Cause I can. I live in the United States and the judicial system is a bit off, (even I agree with that, cause I have been wronged by the same judicial system) therefore..... do I need to continue? Don't blame the people that do this.... we need a better judicial system in place. How do we do that?
