Gilligan, I am a 54 year old fat woman who walks with canes most times heheh

So you betcha I used a wood splitter!!

Now if ya want to come help me finish up..... shaaaaaaaaazaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmm.........I would feed ya some fried tators, cornbread, some beans with salt pork and maybe some collard greens if ya beg enough!!

My wood, splitter rental 75 bucks, elbow grease, bruises, smashed fingers. Good character builder and it helped me keep my girlish figure!!

1 cord of wood from someone else is 250 to 300 a cord.

I figure I came out on top.
On the other hand I wont be able to move for a week after this!!

Yes, I had injured my hip a few weeks ago, went to the ER, and found I had a pinched nerve in it. It's much better now....not completely, but now I can walk with just a slight hobble, the pains isn't near as bad, and I can sleep at night. Well...I could sleep if it wasn't for everything else going on. Everyday...the hip gets a little better. But,the hip isn't the reason, and has nothing to do with why and what has been happeing to me.
Stormy ...
I've no clue what this is all about & it ain't my business, but I just want to say I know you're hurting & I'm so sorry.
I'm sure you know your passion & integrity are well known & well respected by almost everybody here, whether or not they always agree.
Please count me among your admirers & supporters , & I hope all the care & concern shown by HGS members helps to lift your heart a little bit during this awful time.
I know it's a bit late now ... but please don't go putting your email & home addresses on a public forum again, it's just too dangerous !
I will keep you in my thoughts & pray that everything comes right again soon.

Best Wishes,
Anna (Maisie)

Hi Stormy. First off, I think it is wonderful that you have managed to rehomed nearly all your babies. That at least has to be some relief but heartbreaking as well.

My head is swimming with all the posts I read and I still really have no idea the "who or what's" of it all. I will say, like so many have before me, that though we often sit on opposite sides of the debate fence, never, in my wildest dreams or imagination, would I wish this debacle on you. Your love of all things equine has always shined like a brilliant beacon and our discussions prove to me, that you have a feisty side that I hope now, will be able to bear you through this mess.

I do not consider myself to be a deeply religious person, but when faced with the lowest moments of my life, I have always found breathing room when I just "Let go and let God"

That and knowing that Karma is the Great Equalizer. (wishing we had evil smile emoticon)

Big Hugs.

I would also like to join in with those praising this forum. It is through it's members that I was able to find a loving stable home for a very deserving old man who was not being appreciated, loved or cared for the way he should. He would not have made it through this winter without them. In this forum, more than any others, the love for the horse shines through.
