![]() ![]() | then my friend starts yelling for me,so I run around there and Blue had bucked her off.She wasnt hurt, but I saw that she had the back girth way too LOOSE and it was not connected to the front girth. It was way back farther than it should have been. me and my friend have VERY different opinions on horses. She is harsh and impatient and thinks that controlling them with sticks and whips is the only way to make them mind. there is a yearling paso fino colt named comet that would rear, kick and strike out when she tried to lead him,she said if I carried a whip he would respect me. I didnt have a whip,I just went very slow with him, since he had only been handled a couple times before. he never ONCE reared or acted up with me and I was even able to touch his head |

Oh,she knows she doesnt have the patience for them, but she thinks all horses have to be "man-handled"so to speak. |

Hah..put her on a hot, rearing TB and she'll learn not to be rough with them. You yank, they rear. That simple. And yeah..you'll prolly say that's dangerous..but then she'll learn. [ March 17, 2004, 07:06 PM: Message edited by: zorse ]

oh I agree with the Tb thing, she must learn to ask not demand, I mean we can all get frustraited but they are only animals. she can come to my barn and try to ride my Tb like you say she rides. she wont put up with it. she would throw her off or jump the fence with her, shes tried it with someone before. as far as im concered, why do you need a back girth. I asume you ride western because other then that i dont knwo what you are talking about. I also, would hook a lead line up to her and then hit her for anything, just to make sure u have the respect. cause u know whips mean respect now adays i guess. god thats a sad story to hear. I thought a whip was an extension, an aid, if she can not use it correctly maybe it should be taken away from her. ok sorry im done ranting now, Liz |

Yeah,I know, that she needs to learn to ask,not demand with them. And that probably would teach her a lesson. She's the kind to tell everyone else what they should do,then she does something contrary to what she said. My horses bug her because they dont act perfect all the time. She wants to micromanage them, control every part of them and that drives me CRAZY. |

At least she's not too timid...timid riders are just as annoying as harsh ones wink

Yeah i do agree with you there, i dont like timid riders, but i dont like seeing people blame horses for things, or using a whip the wrong way. one day she will learn patience ... hopefully. Liz |
