Post Bad Mare - any ideas

I have a mare that is 4, she is appendix and black, some say both bad strikes against her. I give her the benifit of the doubt of being good. I broke her out as a 2 year old. Not that many problems, after I sent her to the trainer for 4 months, this mare has changed. She has broke my finger and even kicked at me within 3 months. When she broke my finger I turned her out to pasture to rest and be a horse, then kicked me the other day when I went out to see her. I am not sure what to do, should I give up on her and sell her as a brood mare (makeing sure they know her attitude) or should I keep trying to make a show horse out of her? Anyone have similar situations that the horse turned around and wasn't so freaked out with time?
Thanks,

she had changed when you got her back from that trainer? what do you know about him?
I donīt know any horse that turned "crazy" without any reason...
I donīt know anything about your horses situation, so I canīt be sure... but Iīd say, she is afrad for some reason. I donīt say someone treated her badly, it might also be that something happned without anyones fault...
