Orchard hay is lovely! Meadow hay is less rich. Go look at it.

Ooooh okay, that makes sense, she's only got bruising and absesses in that one hoof, so I should make her stand in a very very soft area? And I can't seem to find the absess that's in her hoof, it's so chopped up and rough

Try an Epsom salt soak if you can get her to stand in it. Very good to draw out abscesses.

Yes, definitely cut out the grain. That sounds like an awful large amount of sugar going into her. You may see an improvement just from doing that.

Try to find a grass hay and soak the flakes before feeding them- that will help reduce the sugar content in the hay as well.

If you are concerned about her weight (which is likely decreased from being sore all this time), look into adding soaked shredded beet pulp (specifically ask for NO MOLASSES) to her diet. Always soak it- easier for older horses to eat.

Basically, Sugar/Molasses = The Devil's Playtoy

O..M...G....Please tell me that that's a typo? How can you possibly be feeding her 2 lbs of mollasses a day?

I have a Cushings horse and a Cushings/IR pony.

Please join the yahoo group: Equine Cushings and IR

Please don't give this horse any more molasses. Remove as much starch from her diet as possible. Why is she on senior? I highly suggest changing to a ration balancer, get off of alfalfa hay (use a different type of hay). Put her on a magnesium supplement too.

Her diet is the main cause of problems, IMO. But, she also needs to be moving around. Increasing the blood flow to her feet will help tremendously.

Good luck!!
