Yes I am VERY glad I've been making myself wear my helmet!!! I shudder to think how badly I COULD have been hurt after looking at the helmet!

Good Heavens! Look at that helmet! I'm so pleased that was just the helmet (not your head) .... thankfully you were wearing it!
I'm glad you aren't seriously hurt

Thank you... YES the helmet has had a good beating... It was a rocky/sandy area I crashed in ... I think if I had NO helmet I'd have had some SERIOUS head injuries... stitches at the minimum, ICK...

Ah, now I am up to speed. I am so sorry Wyld. I know all too well that falling off at "our" age does NOT feel good.

You poor thing. I hope you are feeling better and are taking good care of your self!!! Is Roger still around?

Don't scare us like that anymore, you hear me?????

LOL Roger had to go back to work yesterday afternoon, so he's gone until Friday night now... but he WAS home Monday and most of Tuesday so that was nice!

NO falling on hard, rocky ground does NOT feel good when you're fast approaching 40~! BUT at least I WAS smart enough to have my helmet on!!! I am taking good care of myself, I promise... I'm NOT riding this week (sighs, pouts) because my back is bothering me some... I DO have a chiropractic appointment for Friday (soonest they could get me in) I think I have a deep tissue bruise, so I'm trying to baby my back as much as I can...

Dancer is only getting bitted up and lunged this week... much to HER delight I"m sure but I'd rather only take a week off then 3 months!

LOL, while NOT funny, from the stand point that you were injured, it IS funny when we end up OK over all and we say/do things like "HEY what ding **** left my saddle on the ground???" etc

My head is doing great now, so that is VERY good and I'm very thankful I DID wear my helmet on Saturday... as a matter of fact I MADE myself go and put it on as I almost got on her with out it!!!

Now if my back would stop hurting life would be great

I had replied to your post with the stick men and didn't realize just how serious your fall was. Coming off like that is scary!! I hit the edge of the road with the back of my head (no helmet) one time. A week after that we heard via our local paper that a woman riding with her kids (like I was) had almost the exact same fall but she wasn't so lucky , and her kids saw her die.

Having aches and pains is a good thing, you are still able to feel everything and are able to walk. Hope you recover to 100%!!
