Bad BAd Fall, horse reared and fell backwards

ONe of my best friends: ari, was riding her horse ethan on saturday, he is kind of a spaz and was pretty spooky. we were jumping a little log and after she had jumped it she stoped ethan. later she was cantering around, and he started spazing cause a other horse refused this log, so he was flipping out, she pulled on him and he stopped, and she kept pulling on his mouth, he went up a little bit ( maybe a foot or two off the ground) and her being a inexpereinced ( with rearing horses) rider, she kept pulling and pulling., well there was no way for him to go back down to the ground, so she basically pulled him over on to her, so he fell back on her, and scrambled to get up, then he ran away ( back to the barn..hes fine) well she let out this horrid scream, so of course, i ( and my trainer) ran over to her to see what was wrong, and she couldnt move her right leg, it hurt too myuch, she also couldnt straighten it, the ambulance came and took off her helmet ( it was CRACKED DOWN THE SIDE!) i mean completley broken, the cut of her half chaps, spurs, and breeches, they also cut off her jacked and shirt, she went to the hospital, i got the call about a hour later saying the she ahd broken her pelivis in 2 places, now i know this sounds really bad, but its really not at all, only 8 weeks or recovery, no cast, but apparentyl very painful , obviously! so i went to visit her and she was in alot of pain, and couldnt get up. now ehres the bad thaing:

her dad never wants her to get on another horse as long as she lives, and she kind of agrees with him, i mean shes an awesome rider, could go to the top i mean shes really goood, but i think she was really freaked out by this inncident, and is pretty scared still. i really hope she contiunues to ride, please pray for her, and thank god she wasnt hurt worse!

WoWzA. Scary. I hope she decides to get back on. She's just going to ruin her talent because she's a lil scared and bruised (or brokened) up?? I think she shouldn't give up. Anyways, I will pray

Wow, I'm so glad she's okay! It's really scary when that happens. And thank god she was wearing a helmet! I think what your friend needs is a calmer horse to ride for a bit.. untill she gains her confidence up. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

oh wow!!!!! That sounds scarry!!! One question though, why is she on a spooky horse if she is inexperienced? Just wondering. I'm glad she wasn't hurt worse!!!! Thank goodness!! I hope she continues to ride, the way you describe her it sounds like she is very talented!!
