Bad and Good news

bad: Harold rubbed a BIG ol' chunk out of his mane *tear* but hes done changing color, so ill post a pic of him tomorrow, lol

Good/ok: Dancer (our Arab)'s owners actually visited today, and found out we have her rideable, or did till sh went lame, and they decided they wantt o ride...so, now they are comin out tomorrow, to try to, (stupid morons) but, she hasnt been ridden since september, because of her lameness...

so, tomorrow, i have to ride her b4 noon (bareback, saddle adds too much extra weight) around at a wlak, (i want pics, i love her so much) and then her owner will try, im seeing bad happenings.....wish us luck!

i am happy to get to ride her tho, i jsut wish she had some more time to get a little better, she has pretty bad arthritis, and after a long time of walking on her own, shes ok to b ridden bareback..so, yeah...i needed to fume, so i dont do it in front of her owners, they will try to move her out, and then ppl are gonna try and ride her more, and her legs are bad enough..and im seeing bad things happen, plus, her owners only pay 75 a month to have her with us, plus any emergency vet bills, so y would they move her?

hmmm, they don't sound like the most responsible horse owners in the world, do they? Poor horsey!! She's lucky to have someone like you to look out for her! Let us know how it all works out!

yeah, they are crappy owners. when she was 2, they got her a "professional" trainer, who beat her, and she wasnt able to be ridden, u tried, and shed take off and dump her rider, so they stopped. she came to our house when 8, and shes been here sense. my sis re-trained her a few years ago, but after being ridden at a full gallop daily for like 4 years, she got arthritis *tear* so i cant ride her anymore, but we are happy to have her anyway, me and my g-ma love her a lot

hey, does neone have advise as to how i can warm her up a little or anything like that before i ride, and before her owners? i know they wont take no for an answer, so i wanna get her as limber as possible before getting on, will jsut walking her around in the pen help at all? when i do ride im going to stay at a walk, no matter what, but im thinking when her owner gets on, dancer is going to remember the past, and take off like she use to, and her legs can NOT handle that, so, warming her up as much as possible will definitely help....oh, and she cant trot very well at all, she only walks and canters, unless shes been out walking ALL DAY
