Well this thread is about 2 things. 1.that mare just didnt work out 2.my friend...well im not so sure if shes a keeper...(this DOES have to do w/ horses) Ok, well i went to that barn and it is SOO nice. I saw the horses and groomed them for a LONG time and they have such nice temperments! (there was 2) You can just tell by their eyes. They look so...so well just so nice! SOO CUTE too...but these horses are mainly western but the smaller one could do english, but the one i liked best cant. Well needless to say...its back to square one! lol but they are so nice and will find new homes fast! About my "friend". Ok i have been dealing w/ her putting me down for like 3 yrs. now but this time i lost it. Ok so we were havin a good ol' time and then shes like "ur such a snotty rich kid and thats y u r getting a horse!! ur not ready! (shes 13 and shes not very good at riding but all of the sudden shes an "authority on horses")" and i just let it go but after i dropped off my instructor off at her house after seeing the horses...i just cried. (and cried and cried) partly cuz im starting to lose hope on finding my future horsie...and because that REALLY hurt me.I mean i am working SOO SOO hard for this and my dad can FINALLY afford it and she has to try and crush it!! I wanted to talk to my instructor about it but....idk if she wud be mad? ne comments or advice welcome! |

applaud So proud of you for standing up for yourself and letting your friend hear how you felt bow She may be your friend but you don't deserve to have her putting you down. Take if from me, my best friend went though this with another friend of hers and it has totally crushed her self esteem. 4 years later and she is still trying to get over how horribly this girl (who was supose to be her friend) treated her. She has ended up in some pretty bad relationships with guys because she believes that its still ok for people to treat her badly. So good for you for standing tall woot! , don't let anyone say things to you to make you feel bad (especially when they aren't true) even if they are your friend. Perhaps she will realize that its not ok to treat you or anyone else like that - and really I think its just jealousy. About finding a horse - I wouldn't worry about it. Take your time, you don't want to end up with one that isn't right for you or not what you really want just becaue you are in a hurry to buy one. Best of luck to you - what you did was right don't ever tell yourself any different or you just may end up in the same unfortueate situation as my best friend.

Im sorry about your friend. As for the horse(not finding one) dont worry. I felt the same way then i found honey. I cant imagine life with out her! I know exactly how you feel though. It took me NINE YEARS to find the right horse. Alot of HARD work and nights of crying, saying to myself ill never get a horse, i might as well give up now. It was tough but Trust me. You'll find the right one and you'll be glad you passed on the other ones.
