Back from trail ride and camping w/pic

We're back and had a great time. The weather was wonderful, 70 degrees days and 46 night. One other couple camped with us. It was a primative camp meaning we had to watch b/w TV. I sold my protable generator back during Ivan. The coyotes yelped all night. We put the horses inside a make shift hot wire fence. We didn't have a bit of trouble out of them. The trail ride was on Saturday. A ride in the morning, lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings, a ride in the afternoon and supper of corn on the cob, grilled chicken and baked beans. It was an all you can eat meal and had many home made pies, cakes and cookies. After supper we sat around the campfire and listened to a live band. We saw many friend that we had made on the three prior rides at this place and had such a great time. I really didn't want to leave. It was a charity ride for Autauga Acadamy, a private school grades 1-12.

There were only about 70 riders since this was a rain date. Last weekend was the original date and it has to be cancelled due to weather even though 60 riders showed up, so they let them ride and most came back this weekend. I had to ride in my back brace. I wore it under my shirt and it made me look like I had a pot belly. My back didn't hurt hardly at all.

I took about 65 pic, but won't post but a few.

wow, that's a lot of riders. The most riders I've gone on a trail ride was 10 and that was great. It must have been great fun.

The most riders I've gone with was 187 last spring at this trail ride.

wow i really love your horse.he is a stunner. Im glad you had fun,it looks and sounds fun. the coyotes sound scary, i probably wouldn't have slep at all. the only dangerous things we have here are the koalas and they are only scary when you start poking them with sticks like my dads stupid friend did. he got what was coming to him.

Thanks for the pics JR, they look fantastic. I've aways wanted to take a trip like that, now even more so since I've seen your pics. No wonder you were so disappointed with the thought that it might have been cancelled. Your horses look great.
