Thanks!!!

oh oh oh! I totally forgot to mention who was in MY class!! uh huh, that's right!

Mike Huber!!!

I don't know if ya'll know him, but he did advanced for a long time. He owns a barn now and still competes students horses at lower levels occasionally to get experience on them. He has a new stallion that was in my class. He was the one in 3rd after dressage, .5 pts better then us. He got eliminated at the water! Uh oh! Anyway, for those who don't know him, here is a pic...

Mike riding "Hoopoe" at the 1994 World Equestrian Games, The Hague, Holland

Mike Huber has been a member of the United States Equestrian Team since 1978, where he finished 13th in the World Championships. He was a member of the 1980 Olympic Team and won the individual Gold Medal at the 1987 Pan American Games, leading the Team to a Gold Medal. In addition, Mike represented the U.S. at both the 1990 and 1994 World Equestrian Games.

Mike is a past President of the USCTA and is the new USET Vice President of Eventing. He also served as an Olympic Selector from 1996 to 2000. Mike owns and operates Gold Chip Stables in Bartonville, Texas.

Just thought that was pretty neat, that such a good rider was competing with me! Obviously his horse is still really green and a handful, being a stallion, or we never would have beat him, but still neat!

Great job! I'm proud of you guys! Pal's such a good boy.
I recognize that indoor from a different event you went to (I think it might have been your first??). Is that the only place around there that holds horse trials or do you travel around?

Waiting for more pics

Let's see... I show there often, it's the closet one to my house (about 45 min). The dressage show I went to a few weeks ago was there, and my first event, and one from this spring. They have a spring summer and fall HT, but I didn't do the summer one this year. I go there alot, but also travel around. Our first training a few weeks back was in OK, then my next event at the end of Oct is in LA. I also have a pony club show jumping rally a few hourse away to a new place this coming weekend. So, I guess we don't travel a whole bunch, like to keep costs down, but we're in a pretty good area where if you dont want to go more then 2 hours, you can make about 5-6 shows a year if you dont mind going the same places. Once I have done the xc course a certain place twice I don't like to do it again unless we move up a level. Since we were novice in the spring and we're training now, I really don't mind going to the same places, since they are nice facilities and close to home.

Thanks for the comments and I hope to have the professional pics/ video pics ASAP!
