Back From The Camelot Classic! [With Pictures!]

I am back from the Camelot Classic. Ivy was very, very good. I found out that this is her second horse show, and the last time she showed was two years ago. [When she was four.] So we had some spookiness, and some missed lead changes, and one stop at a VERY scary end jump with a hard turn to it, and that was really my fault because I underestimated the turn. But she came right back and jumped it perfectly. Most of the jumps were exploding with flowers, scarecrows, palm trees, etc, and she jumped them all super well and never looked at them. I think we did pretty well, considering I had never really jumped a course on this horse until we stepped into the show ring!

We got a 2nd in the hunter under saddle with about 25 other entries, a 6th in another one with a few more people, and the rest of the details are blurry. We did two divisions, and they each had about 25 people in them. The final ribbons were: One second, two fifths, one sixth, four sevenths, and an eighth. I was very happy with her even though we did not ribbon all that well.

I only have the professional pictures right now, but I will be getting many more from my friend and Ivy's owner.

And then a picture from the dog costume class.. It was hilarious. We brought the dog into the arena in the trailer, and when the judge walked by we let him out. We were all laughing so hard we didn't know they were taking the picture yet. From left to right: Me, Marta, and Paige. The dog is Marta's, and his name is Phoenix.

Too bad you dont have any pics of the dog in the trailer! Very cute idea! Congrats on the show, for being only Ivy's 2nd show, it sounds like you did well. Some of those pics are really nice also. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, and I forgot to add - If you'd like, you can critique, I know most of my faults, but it's always a learning experience to hear what others think!

Thanks! And yeah, the leg is a big issue with me.. Hahah.

We didn't win the dog class, we got second to this girl who had a dog and a pony in the class! Haha.

Thank you, Cathy!

And yes, the announcer could barely choke out his name and what he was. It has been in the planning for a while now, we had to 'gut' the two horse Breyer trailer to make it into a one dog Breyer trailer! Haha. My friend randomly found out that she had a flat class on her hunter like two minutes before the class started. After she jumped off her horse and ran into the arena. It was a lot of fun!
