Back from show!!!

We got back last night but I was too tired to come online.

We got 4th. We had a tense dressage test, but was 5th after dressage out of 22 in my division. I was shocked. The judges gave us 7's on gait and commented that he is a "NICE moving horse" just like the other judge said at Island 22. I watched the test on the video Bri took and it was pretty good, just a few things that need to be worked on.

So, Stadium was later that day, he was jumping AWESOME! I think also due to the fact that I was trying a demo COUNTY Conquest jumping saddle on him. It fit him so well, my other one WAS making him sore. Anyway, we went clear stadium no problem, it was a gorgeous round. We were 3rd after stadium.

XC was pouring rain and so slippery. But, we went clear with only time faults. We were 13 seconds slow, due to being careful of the slipperyness. We didn't even LOOK at anything, I had to hold him to every jump cause he wanted to go, go, go!

We got a nice, big, beautful ribbon for 4th place. Im MORE then happy with my horse, 2 events in his life, he gets 6th and 4th. SO many people tell me how gorgeous he is, I even had a woman say "my daughter should have bought him when we looked at him". I got a keeper.

OMG, when we got home, at 10:30pm (we stayed late to school XC with my sisters horse) anyway, Smokey freaked out in the trailer before unloading and went DOWN. I panikced, we unloaded True and got Smokey untied, he was SITTING with his legs under True, I thought they were broken, I was crying and he actually stayed calm and we got him out, he is okay....THANK GOODNESS!

Okay, this is a novel....

That's great Amy!! We had better see some pictures soon!!

And, you bought a very nice saddle. Isn't it amazing what a difference a correct-fitting saddle can make?

How did he fall in the trailer? I am glad that he's okay.

I have NO idea how he fell. Im thinking maybe he tried to lie down? OR he slipped? I dont know...but I hope it never happens again! I was a wreck.
