Back from Poplar Place

I'm back from Poplar Place from my boy's first show experience. When hearing our scores please take into consideration he has about 90 days english training with the last 30 schooling fences. (he was a barrel horse) and I was there to get him quietly through the event, scores were not an issue.

Dressage wasn't half bad, nothing lower than a 6 which I was pleased with considering it was freezing rain, we had no warmup, he was flying high and I forgot my pattern. ha ha ha
He has now seen the judges box. *thumbs up
Stadium was interesting as he was coming completely out of his skin in the whopping 10 minutes we had to warmup. I didn't even know until the last minute if I was going to get him under control enough to go. Completed it with no rails just major time faults.
XC he was great, no major events, once again jumped clean with time.
All in all I was very pleased with it. My only goal was to get him over the courses quietly. I was pleased to find that the boy could jump out of his shoes!
Did you go? If so, how'd you do?

There was a photographer there but I am making some of the WORST faces in the stadium. (I was throwing up between fences and you can tell)
I will try to find the photographers website.

Yep, I was puking. too much coffee on an empty stomach with a side of 2am margaritas.

I'm from Nashville, I think it took us about 7 hours maybe? March we will be at Jumping Branch but will be back at Poplar in May.

How is it that you were 20 minutes down the road, and didn't even give me a heads up? I could have come watched you!

Next time send me a message!

Glad you had a good time though!
