There was an article in the last issue of "The Horse" about a horses that went threw an auction in Pennsylvania that tested Positive for "EIA" Equine Infectious Anemia and passed threw the auction in OH and then was auctioned off again in PA. The vets finally tracked down the infected horse (new owners ) and now they are trying to determine if they can safley quarantine the infected horse or euthanize it. So please be careful when purchasing a horse from an auction! This just happened in mid July! I feel so awful for the new owners!!!!!!!

the last auction I went to only two horses were sold for over six-fifty. And most of the were awsome, broke for reining or pleasure. But then the auction my aunt went to she ended up paying a thousand for a pony she thought was sound and broke. well it turned out to be full of bute and will forever be seriously lame

The horse auctions we have here in KY is decent the prices are average and as well you have to make sure horses are not drugged up but you are always taking the chance. WE also have a very good registered horse sale tat goes very expensive from $1,000 to $20,000 they are all good horses and it is a good clean sale it is at the Western Kentucky Agriculture Expo Center, and they have to be UTD on everything. If you want to spend more money but get a good horse then I would advise you go there, because at the killer auctions you never know whatcha gonna get. I have some horses myself for sale if anyone interested prices range from $525 to $1,800 and I have a 14 foot fully enclosed bumper pull horse trailer for $3,000 email if interested at dodge@kynet.net
