Talking ATTN LADIES ages 35-55+ - I need your help!

Good Morning Ladies!

I am working on a new marketing campaign and need your help!

My target market is professional women ages 35-55. (If you are a little older/younger, still please feel to share!) I hope to recruit some new woman riders for my program and think that showcasing women who already enjoy horses may help! What I'm looking for are short testimonials sharing how horses have enriched your life. Any pictures of you and your horse that you'd be willing to share would be greatly appreciated as well!! Of course, any information/pictures used will be provided to you for approval before publication.

If you know any other women who would fall into this category, please forward this on... the more the merrier!!!

Thank you in advance!!!

More than happy to help ya out Kim!

Horses are the centering point of my life. It puts me outside the demands of my job, outside the demands of my family, its just me and my horse. The joys of riding aren't something easily put into words, but it calms the soul and lets it soar.

I am 36yrs old and have a degree in Sociology/Psychology. I currently work as a case worker at state prison. I also have two children so I really have two jobs.

I am a pleasure rider. I find that the bond I have with my mare helps me get over the stress of life. I have always said that a good horse is therapy and I believe that 100%.

Sunshine listens to me without judging me. She lets me talk, cry, vent. There is nothing more relaxing than spending afew hours with Sunny after a long week. It is a comfort and a blessing. Not many people can understand the feeling of a good horse and mother nature. I would recommend time with a well trained well mannered horse for anyone who has a stressful job.

I didn't start riding until I was 51. I am not good by any means but I do it and I love my horses. I love to ride as long as I'm in an enclosed area. I had a horse for 15 yrs but he was a pet so I didn't ride him. When he died I got really depressed and my man drug me kicking and screaming to a local stable, he knew the people I didn't. The owner and I clicked and are best friends now, she has taught me everything I know. She is amazing with her talent to read both horses and people! I admire her so much and she helps me do things that I never thought I could do.

I even did a little barn horse show with just the boarders and kids from horse camp and my girl and I came in 1st in Western Pleasure and 2nd in Trail and Horsemanship [last time we got 1st in Horsemanship]. Delta is a 10 yr old 1/4 horse.

I'm not really into showing but to go from a depressed mess wishing I'd die after I lost my old horse to now having 3 and being able to stay on the horse and actually enter a little show and win a ribbon is like major for me. If I could feel comfortable on the trail then it would all be perfect but I still have that fear of a horse running away with me so I am too nervous on a trail ride unless I'm on one of her horses, I trust him so much.

My friend is a yr older than I am and she is a wonder with horses, she can ride anything and everything. I probably admire her more than anyone else I know and if I was a kid I'd want to be her when I grew up, I don't have time to be like her now since it takes yrs and yrs of doing it but I am doing more than I ever thought I'd be doing because of her.

I am cough cough 40+ ( ).

I have been riding since I was about 9 - I didn;t ride from about 16 to 24 - and then at 24 I got my own horse.

Have a horse as an adult has made me a much better person - I have learned discipline and that I can do FAR MORE than I actually think I can.

I am currently horseless (soon to be rectified) and it is just like a piece of me is missing.

I hope that the horses that we bring to our home will help build a strong young woman in my 7 year old daughter, teach her discipline and compassion, and teach her that you can be whatever you want to be.

I grew up riding horses, then found boys, then found horses again, then found THE boy, then had a baby boy, then found horses again. (true passion cannot be held down for long, I guess!!) I'm 40, I have a thriving business, a mortgage, a family and dreams of greatness. I also have an amazing four-legged beast - the WonderHorse.

He has inspired me to lose weight, get strong, dig deep and reach for goals that I never thought were attainable in my future. Each day that I ride, I learn more about myself, my horse, and realize that pretty much *anything* is possible, if we're willing to get out there and DO it.

I can confidently say that my passion for horses has saved my life more than once. Horses are motivators (I lost 50 pounds!). Horses are inspirational ("I CAN do this...and he is with me all the way!") Horses are therapy. Horses are friends.

Horses don't lie, cheat or steal. (Well, carrots don't count.) Horses don't tell you your backside looks big in those pants. Horses open up a whole new social circle of people who "get" your appreciation of nickers, nuzzles and cute riding vests.

I joke to my husband that we'll eat Top Ramen and sleep in the car before I'll give up the horses again. He just smiles and says " but at least you'll be HAPPY - that's priceless".

I'd just like to share my grandmother didn't start riding until she was 63. She loves horses and had always dreamed of owning one as a child. You're never too old to learn something new!
