Attack of the Mud Beads!! *help*

Mud beads are in Sandys tail again! They are these clups of mud cemented in his tail up to the size of a marker. Iv'e tried soaking them in water, nothing. I tried taking them out while his tail is dry, still nothing! So Id really appreciate it if anyone has any tips on how to get rid of these things! Any help will be appreciated!

you could try using baby oil... works great for getting large knots and burrs out of the mane and tail, so i would think it would work on mud beads too. just wash the tail with a good shampoo after you are done using it, as the tail will be all oily and gross afterwards.

Vaseline and baby oil both work well. I like washing out oil better than Vaseline though, because Vaseline gets hard when you wash it in cold water, and it's awful to get out.

I don't know about getting them out, but maybe you could try using a tail bag after you get them out to keep them from reoccouring.

I usually use a pair of pliers to crush them, then just shampoo as usual. When you smash them with the pliers, they just crumble to pieces.
