Post arabs and blankets

i have a 18 y o arabian gleding who is a hard horse to get a blanket for.....if i i get a blanket that it a little looser he is able to get it off right away and if i get one that fits him pretty well he ends up with BAD shoulder rubs and not one blanket has fit perfectly and i have been looking at blankets that are made for arabs but they are a little pricey and i dont want to pay alot of money and come back and have it not fit again any suggestions???????

Don't have an arab but you could try e-bay (wonderful place to go) or you could try to find a consignment shop that carries arab tack..

Schneider Saddlery makes an adjustable blanket that a lot of the Arabian show people use that does not rub shoulders and has hind leg straps that do not rub and prevent the blanket from getting twisted or coming off. While they might seem a bit pricey they are no more so than most good blankets cost now days. Since they do fit the breed and with care, will last for YEARS, the price in the long run is not that bad!
