| Full Member | Arabian Sport Horse Nationals - Qualifying ?? I have a show qualifying questions for Arab people! I've been reading through the handbook and I think I'm just confusing myself more...... When qualifying for Sport Horse In Hand do you also have to have performance points? Also, there are only a few shows a year which include Sport Horse Classes in my area and I know of at least one I can't attend.....lets say I attended a show that does not have Sport Horse classes and I showed in Hunter Pleasure verses Sport Horse Under Saddle...would this help me towards qualifying for Sport Horse Under Saddle classes at the Sport Horse Nationals? My trainer and I are really hoping to qualify one of her stallions for halter and one of her mares in performance for this years Sport Horse Nationals.....and I guess we are just a little confused about the process. My trainer showed one of her stallions once at Sport Horse Nationals, but that was the first year they ever had the Sport Horse Nationals and the rules were a bit different then......She keeps telling me the rules are a certain way, but I'm almost positive things have a changed a bit..... I hope this makes sense...thanks for the help/clarification! |

| Full Member | I dont show Arabs, however I train with Arabs and this will be the second time we are going to Sport Horse Nationals. What I can tell you is that if you want to compete in BOTH Sport Horse In Hand and Under Saddle you have to qualify in BOTH events. You cant use Hunter Pleasure points to help you qualify for Sport Horse Under Saddle becuase it is a completely different class (and if Im wrong..I gladly apologize but this is what I know from my trainer). Its a whole lot of fun and we'll be down in Lexington come September as well. Im really excited..even thouch Im not shwowing..I'll definately be there to groom though |
