I have an Arabian gelding and I am looking for advice or an offer of a home. He is a registered 10 yo. Very green broke and was abused in his past, and he has heaves, but we have been able to contol it fairly well. It takes awhile for him to trust, and he prefers women over men. Not a mean bone in his body. I would be willing to give him to a very loving home. He learns fairly well, just lacks confidence. He is not the typical Arab, he is very laid back. I was advised by several people to euthanize him. I do not want to do that, but I don't want him to fall into the wrong hands either. Is there anyone who would love to have a horse without placing to much expectations on him and has the patience to work with him, or would just like a pasture ornament? His meds for his heaves is very reasonable. He is a trooper for the injections and we only have to treat him during very humid weather. |

Also they might see the word FREE as a way to make money off the horse, and the horse gets passed on again.

I will not advertise him for free in the paper. I could imagine all the kind people who would take him off my hands, just to make a quick buck. There is a horse dealer just down the road from me. As to why I need to place him: I was misled about him when I purchased him for my son. Bought him off the internet. I have put alot of time into him, even considering his heaves, but he will never be suitable for my son. I don't have enough room to keep him and purchase another horse. He needs one on one to blossom. I will keep him until the perfect home comes along.

Thanks for all of your replies. I know the right home will come along. I would really love someone who would like to further his training. He does much better with his heaves in the cooler days/months. He has a beautiful floating trot. But a much loved pasture oranment is fine to.
