I'd personally had no problem forking out a small fortune for a horse I liked, if I had that kind of money, lol!

He's certainly a LOVELY little guy. I have no doubt that he'll be a big-time champ in the future...and we'll all be here talking about the time we argued about his price, hahahaha!

"Every once in a while some one drives up w/ a Rolls Royce.." You can say "that's not worth a 100K", and climb into your Ford, but if the RR is Quality enough, special enough, and maybe has a couple trophies to/from show, it may be worth 100+K after all. If all goes well for Arabkid's colt, and if/after he Blows Some Doors Off at shows like Scottsdale, he will look like a deal at 100K. Maybe this is their roll of the dice Rolls. How cool if it is. I wish them the best with him
Frankly I never understood lower level jumper who would pay half this much for a decent fence popper. And Tbred people pay prices w/ decimals instead of commas without blinking. But for the money I would much rather have a gorgeous Arabian stallion. As somebody said - To each/ their own.

Do you realize that if I get a job in this area after I graduate, he would cost me ~3 years salary? Probably 3 1/2 years once you take out taxes.

Once again I would like to point out that there is a reason I did NOT bring up the prices on my horses on this forum. I am not asking for you guys to tell him what he is or isn't worth, and I never was. Cool time asked how much YOU would pay for him, I don't need to know how much he's worth because I already know! If I want to check again i'll go in my barn and have a look.

Dawn yes that may well be what you make in 3 years. And being as young as you are unless you had wealthy parents, I would expect you to be able to afford him. I myself wouldn't be able to afford my own horse!

But once again, if you don't like him, thats your problem. But please also remember that this "young colt that hasn't proven anything" will probably bring in more the 4 times what were asking in stud fees and in winnings. Oh and please remember this "young colt that hasn't proven anything" has proven something, that my parent hard work and careful breeding for 38 years as paid off, and was well worth it.

Oh and I just wanted to say, if politics keeps you have out of the ring, then you don't have the drive to do it, or your scared to fail. Because my parents being Canadian have had a heck of a hard time breaking through into the winners circle at nationals, but they never gave up. Oh and if you guys are trying to imply that my parents have lots of money, you are sadly mistaken, we have 54 horses, just ONE of these expensive horses doesn't even pay for the expenses we put into our horses. So if you have 1 horse...try mutiplying that but 56 for blankets, feed, water bills, electricy, a heated barn, and a WHOLE lot of show fees.

Bodi-> we don't have to take our money in run. He is worth more then were asking. David Boggs priced him for us...and his price was even higher!

How did Wunderbar do at the Canadian Arabian Nationals? :-) I attended, loved your setup by the way and horses. I saw a lot of ribbons but wasn't paying the most attention at the presentation as to who won what heh heh

three years ago we only had three foals (i'll explain don't worry..lol) We normally only bring horses there for there futurity year (three year old year) as canadian nationals does not have a yearling class and then we break and sell them as performance horses. So this year of a foal crop of only 3, we had sold one as a weanling http://www.shaharaarabianstud.com/beyshahar/ <- thats him. So we didn't have him to show. And one of them just isn't a national quality halter horse, (performance horse yes but not performance). Then there was the one we showed who we are happy to say made top ten! yay...anyways i'll put the picutres on here that are of him as a two year old.

NV Beau Bey x Design By Class

And this is the guy that isn't **** looking enough for a halter horse.

I just can't believe how gorgeous your horses are Meg!

If I'd known this thread was gonna make you have to defend you, your horses, your farm and your family, I would have never started in the first place.. Sorry Sis!
