Raps breeder is crossing Connemaras and Arabs, and really likes the result.
Im personally fond of her Hungar-Abians.

An Appy arab cross was the half -arab nationals champion hunter pleasure horse last year with a junior rider....

I think any cross CAN be good, but I think you have to decide what you want and start with two good individuals in the first place.

Actually crossing the Arabian breed is the same as crossing any of the other breeds..... and breeding horses period.
You cannot simply say that Arabians cross better with one breed or another. Breeding a purebred Arabian to any other light horse breed can be successful, but it really depends on the individual horses involved.
You start off with the best conformed proven mare possible and breed her to a proven stallion, whose conformation is not all that different from her...... and then hope for the best.
I love any Half Arabian that is a really good one.......but if it is an average or even bad one.....

If the appy was a quater horse it would be a nice cross. Because Quarabs are beautiful big butts, with that lovely petite dished head lol..

Depends on how they turn out. I mean you can cross one arab with an appy and get something that looks like an appy... and cross two different horses an dget an Arab looking horse with the appy coloring. Here are a few Araloosas

Reg'd Arabians, QH, TB's are the three breeds you're allowed to breed into the Appaloosa (as well as Appy x Appy of course) and you can still get a Reg'd Appy if all requirements are met... SO if you breed an Appy x Arab you can end up with a Reg'd purebred Appy and a reg'd 1/2 bred Arabian, giving you two different showing venues

Many endurance people are fallling in love with the Appy x Arab combination as both breeds are known for their hardiness and outstanding endurance capabilities.

I would consider breeding a nice WP bred Appy to a good WP Arabian for a competative 1/2 Arab WP horse with hopefully color .
