here is a mare james is looking at. The owner gave me her reg. number 0472911

here are her pics, she is being used as a broody but was a great trail mare.

She's grey and a mare

Honestly I can't tell a ton by those particular photos. She looks to have a short back, steeper croup and a bit thickish in the throat latch, but she's not in great condition, so hard to judge much in reality.

I don't have a subscription to the database so can't look up her pedigree so can't comment on the bloodlines in the least, but maybe Sandra or Megs can look her up for you and go from there.

HONESTLY, she did not jump out and excite me at all in those photos, but perhaps in person I might have a very different opinion

Helen, from the pictures I like her. At first glance. I would want to see better pictures of her legs and hoofs. But she is more what I think. I do not like the real fine typey arabians. I like more that has some bone to them. I would want to see movement pics and a video if they had one. Is she close to you? What are they asking for her?

She looks to be in tipical pasture shape. I like them better that way. It shows how they are naturally and what they truely might pass on. Not something that has been altered by training, work, or something else.

I can't tell you anything about the pedigree though. She isn't on allbreedpedigree and do not have data source right now.

Did they say why the are giving her away?

The only name that jumps out is Bask. But is a pretty common name. And I am new to Arabians bloodlines.

Czort is behind some decent endurance and performance horses I don't know any of the horses in her first two generations, but someone with DataSource access could see if there is peformance/halter/production records to see if any of it has produced well in the past.

she emailed back and the are cutting back there broody band. she is free because of her age and she hasn't been ridden in four or five years. i am going to look at her this weekend take better pics and see what shakes out.

I think you are an AZ copy of me!! LOL This mare looks just like my mare Shyanne, we both have young blonde daughters, and both our daughters have minis with the same name. LOL
