Arab breeders! See any big names in this pedigree??

Obviously the Sires side is Arabian ... so if you see any big names in there, let me know!
I know Bask* is an import of some kind and was pretty big in the states.

But im sure someone knows more than me
So any info you know, please share!
If there are any Quarter Horse or paint breeders looking. You can check the Dams side, but i really dont think i see anything there.

I'm no good with arab pedigrees, but on his dam's side he's got Top Deck, Three Bars, and Skippers Lad but they're pretty far back. Even FURTHER back is Sugar Bars, and on his on his dam's sire's side he has a bit of TB and I see Man O War.

If you click on Black Deck on the dam's side, on the dam's sire's side you'll see Man O War 5 generations back

This little research project has led me to find out that my horses are not so distantly related... lol... Both Rocky and Fyre have Black Deck lines in them

no im wrong... lol... maybe its Top Deck... im not sure, i just know i saw a similar horse between the two each about 5 generations back... this stuff is so neat

He is a decently bred horse.

Now if your asking is he is a "show/politics" bred horse, no. The big names aren't that close in the pedigree on either side.

However, those are some very good old Polish Arabian bloodlines in his sire's side. Bask was over used, but what would one expect of a stallion imported here and used on over a thousand mares. Mi Tosk did happen to be one of his more noted sons and was used decently himself. As for Sundance's lines, while I know the names and a few of the horses, I'm not familiar enough on all my history to tell you whether these guys were outstanding show/riding/breeding horses or not. We did not have a lot of polish breeding in our program.

Sundance!! I love him... hes just the most calm laid back atheletic sport horse stallion there is. He throws some wonderfully sporty arabs.
Ive worked with him quite a lot, seeing as how I worked at the barn hes at stud at for years. I would breed to that stallion any day.... if i had a mare, that is. lol
But yeah... I agree that Bask was overused... but understandably so. If you have a horse that great, youd want to have equally as great horses, so why not breed to him? lol..

Oh and to mention your other topic about the "show/politics" bred horse... No way... To be completly honest, i really despise politics in breeding. If you have a good foal, you have a good foal, regardless of his parentage. Thats just my school of thought. Of course, i know there are those that live by the big named stallions to breed to. Not me. Besides... the place were the big show names are needed in Arabs, is Main Ring... and I HATE main ring. GRRR... I took Rocky into a main ring class and there was only one other in the class and because that other had slightly better bloodlines, he won... he was not very flashy AT ALL... and i think we shouldve went home with first. It upset me quite a lot.
But instead we went home with A sport horse first. which, to me, is significantly more valuable.. lol
