This horses sire won over $1,514.45 in cutting. Freckles Boon won over 4,000 in cutting competition. So the family tree has some talent. Freckles Playboy, one of the leading sires in cutting history, earned $59,000. He is a great broodmare sire.

And that horse is very pretty!!

I agree, very pretty boy, and he seems to be built well too. I like him I'd go for it with your mare. I think they would complement each other well. You don't have any "big" WP performance names in there, but they match very well and you could end up with something that takes the WP or HUS ring by storm. And you'ld likely have cow still in there, so with size, roping/cattle events are not out of the picture either. Nice little stud.

I like him!
Is he a liver chestnut with flaxen? Look at all that chrome.
Very respectable pedigree. Do you have any pics of his babies? I would love to see what he throws.

Thanks April I don't think he's been bred yet, as he's only coming 4.

And yes, he's liver chestnut with flaxen Now do they have a test for flaxen yet?

The cool thing is...they're keeping the first foal, and I get her back in foal. If she produces some hideous, worthless foal by some insane chance, I can opt out of having her rebred

Nope, I don't think there is a test for flaxen.
I looked at the pics of some of the horses on his pedigree.
I really like Shorty Lena.
Good Luck Shannon!!

wow, so is this another lease agreement?
I think this guy's topside is awesome.
Strange that they want to breed Tb with him, but what the hay do I know about the QH world... IF they want her, that is awesome.

Appendixes are pretty big in the QH world because if they earn their ROM they become technically full blooded QH's. Strange huh?

I really like him though... I am sooo excited for you Shannon!

Maya I think you jinxed it, LOL. I went to copy and paste what she had said regarding the whole TB thing in an email, and I had a new message from her:

Quote:
Hi Shannon,

My husband just got back from out of town. He is actually very against the idea of me leasing a TB mare. He and I had talked of it before and said no but then I sort of had a hard time turning down your mare. But, I think I am going to have to pass. I feel really bad, if for some reason you end up keeping and breeding her I will give you 1/2 off Playboy's stud fee. I do think she is a nice mare and I appreciate your interest. Please let me know if there is anything else I may be able to do for you.
Sorry!
Amy
Oh well. I have someone coming out tomorrow morning to look at her to breed lease her. It's a dressage trainer who's about an hour and a half away who has a breeding to Regulus. Check him out: www.dreamtimefarm.com. I obviously wouldn't get her back in foal, but having a Regulus baby would likely up her value as a broodmare.
