Going just off the peds. I don't see anything that would be a "problem" per say. Doc Bar ties are far back and there's really only 2X. And it would give you Driftwood and Bert lines together which is good. Hollywood Gold is in there and Hancock. A little Leo. There is really a bunch of "old lines" to go around in both peds. Looks like it would make a "using horse" ped. And, I like the minds you get with a little Zan Parr Bar in there tied into Doc Bar Lines.

What type horse are you after? Are the potential stallion and dam $$ earners and/or producers?

you are missing the point CD I said off of pedigree only...

one is my mare the other is teh sire of my two year old I have somebody wanting to pay good money for this cross I am just not sure if I wanna do it or not...

Both horses have no show record but have been workign cows locally and eating them up... some guy seen my mare and this stud work with the studs owner riding ... had already ridden the stud wanted to ride my mare soooo we let him... he is offering big bucks for the baby to rope with..

the mare is maiden.. the stud first foal crop is just now being ridden...

He is unshown because his owner keeps have kids LOL oh the joys of a family... they normally dont' stand him to outside mares... he covers maybe 8 mares a year for their use and sale... never a problem selling them ... one went back to Krebs QH this year or last year I don't remember.. they are using horses not show horses

I'd want a closer cross if I was breeding for type. But with Doc and Poco on both sides, you'd probably end up with a nice horse - IF both are quality to begin with. I've already critiqued this mare's pedigree - lets see some pictures. Come on....please

I go with Doublebarr on this one and the potential buyer has a good point. The baby would WORK and I too, like Zan Parr Bar minds, even without the Doc Bar they are nice little horses.

If you dont know what type horse you are breeding for and there are few $$ earners and producers directly in line (Sire/Dam or Grandsire/Granddam), then you simply have to go based on the stallion and dams confirmation and attitude....if you like the horses and their offspring that you are familiar with then breed the horses.
