| Senior Member | Apple cider vinegar? So I've heard of feeding/spraying apple cider vinegar to repel flies? How much would you have to feed? Is it dangerous? (I'm guessing its not, just want to make sure) =]

| Senior Member+ | We tried feeding it last summer, and our boys absolutely would not eat their feed with the ACV on it. I spray it on mixed with water and Blue Dawn. Works pretty well for flyspray. BonnieM

| Senior Member+ | I think I fed about 3/4 of a cup to my old horse and it worked well- I believe it also helps dissolve minerals and prevent some type of colic but not 100% sure... new guy won't eat it either though.

| Senior Member+ | I put it in my water troughs. It keeps them cleaner, and they drink it that way. I dump between 2 and 4 cups into each trough. I love it-great stuffs.

| Senior Member+ | I usually feed about 1/4 of a cup to the average horse. Do a search for more info. There are TONS of threads about vinegar, as it has been widely discussed on this forum.
