All you have to do is send in updated photos they may change her to roan on the papers. And that is what she is varnish roan.

It's so common that it's not a big deal with the registry. They will put the updated photos on the certificate

Years ago we owned many Apps. and this is very common. You do not have to do anything; anyone who knows about this breed will totally understand. However, you can send in a new picture and have this taken care of if you wish.

Definately a Varnish Roan! She's gorgeous!!!

My friend's Appy gelding is about 12 years old and still looks like what your mare did as a 4 year old. He's Varnishing really slowly.

That's been happening with most every appy, but three at the stables I'm at, after shedding out their winter coat. And here I've been thinking people are getting new horses till I take a second look.

It's extremely common. I've seen a few solid color crosses take on a few spots this year.

She is a nice mare. I had a buyer but they never put a deposit on her and I've never heard back from them. If any one is interested in Itchy make an offer she will be ready to go in about 2 months (Piglet's weaning time). I would consider a trade for a dead broke gelding that would be good for a beginner for just trail riding and ponying other horses. But must be an easy keeper and get along well with other horses. LOL nothing special, right LOL

Beautiful girl. I love Appaloosa. Just wish I understand how the Lp genes worked better. Either way though, beautiful mare.
