Appaloosas

I just wanted to share this site that I found about appy stallions. I just love to look at the different colors and conformations.

Anyway...here it is!

Cool site! Thanks!

Did you get a chance to read the story about TALK ABOUT TARDEE? It was so sad, I feel badly for that poor woman.
I love Etch for Success, I've seen him before, but I think his sire is even more beautiful than he is! Etched to Impress!

It was a sad story about Talk About Tardee. He was a beautiful stallion! My hubby said if we were to re-breed my appy (and breed for color) that Etch for success is who he would go with...and the neat thing is he is only about 1/2 hour away from us! I should go and check him out in person...hummmm think I will do that! Just to be nosey!

What color is your mare? Etch for Success is a gorgeous stud. I've seen his website before when looking for Appy's on the internet. If you do go see him, maybe you could take some pictures? Post them on here, maybe? I would love to see more pics of him.

You could tell Talk About Tardee's owner really loved him! To write such a nice biography of his life! It's so sad she had to loose him so young.

Appylvr, I have a "white" mare with red roan tips on her ears, fetlocks and in her tail. The reason I say red roan is that is actually the color she is registared under. I still don't understand that...maybe after her bath this spring I can post a good picture of her! OH...when she is wet, her skin is just like the leopard, with black spots allllll over her!
I have recieved an email from Etch's mom and she welcomes me to come and visit her. She said she has three studs and a total of 25 horses. I will take my camera just in case she will allow me to take pictures.

That'll be cool! My neighbors have two varnish red roan mares. It sounds like they have more red than yours does, though! I don't have a picture of their mares, but I do have one that looks just like them. Here it is.
What made me a little mad is they're breeding a gorgeous mare like this to an Arab stud! Why couldn't they have found a nice stud like Etch?

Appylvr, that mare does have a lot more red than mine. You really have to look to see my mare's red markings. I will get out this weekend and take some close up shots of her and get them posted. oh and I will include some of the colt also
