Thanks for the Miracle chip link...I will definitely see what his foal crop has to offer next year.

As for the other stud, Chocolately, I stumbled across his site a month ago. He has an amazing lope, not to mention everything else about him, haha. It will be interesting to see what he does in the coming year...He's definitely one to look out for.

I wish I still could afford to show and have apps (My current hubby is a quarter horse man). I would love to see this mare.

They were right suggesting checking out the Top Sires list and who made the Top Ten at the Nationals/Worlds. However, there are some younger studs (and a few a bit older) that would be worth looking into that may not have a huge record. One not mentioned is Zips Dark Chocolate, I believe his first crop is coming in 2007. Heza Loud Lopen Chip - suppose to be a great mover, but they are holding him to show as a 3. I haven't heard good things about some of The Miracle Chip's foals (some are a bit bratty and hard headed) but I have no personal experience.. I have a DZ Weedo daughter, out of Eyeza Debonaire that we breed to our stallion, Straws Mighty Magnum (www.strawsmightymagnum.com). She is a western pleasure machine, but can have a little attitude. There is also our stallion - he is an all-arounder that has been there, done that. He is just getting started as a sire, but we feel he's doing a heck of a job. I have a June 2006 filly I can't wait to get out as a 3 y/o - she is looking to be a pleasure machine.

There are a lot of possiblities out there - some have just been promoted more at this time than others. Some of us are just getting going! Also, you can normally (at least with us) get better deals from someone just getting their stud really going and wanting to place foals in show homes than some of the more established studs.

Good luck!
Kristine

Here are a couple websites with World quality appaloosas that are affordable.
Goffenas appaloosas has a beautiful dun leopard colt that I believe is still available for, If I didn't already have my colt This guy would be in my pasture. She also has several other nice babies that are still avaiable. The other web link to vision quest appaloosas, Their Stallion King of Broken Hearts is from Goffenas apps. Check out King of Broken Hearts they have a video of him on their stallions page....and he is located in fairfield washington......I highly recommend these breeders for your next world qualifier. Susan Goffenas daughter in law took the buckskin leopard filly I raised last year to 1 show here in montana and earned enough points in 1 showing to go to the world.

Haha, Vision Quest Appaloosa's is located in my area. I can't say I care too much for their stallions as great WP producers, although they are nice. I saw KOBH at quite a few shows this year, and I think he is better suited towards all-around events. I can imagine he'd probably pass that along to this offspring as well.

Thanks for your help though .

Wow, if I had the money I would definitely go for the mare that mutrok posted! She is going to be a winner for sure. I saw her ad in classifieds a few days ago and *DROOLS* that mare...OMGOSH.

Hey Kristine, I have to tell you I have been a big fan of your boy since I first saw him a couple of years ago. I came across him online in a stallion auction and the breeding was already sold but I was impressed. I have kept an eye on your site ever since. If I had room in the barn I would have bought Luna...she is awesome!

Thank you! He is really getting quite a fan club out there! If you are ever in the area, feel free to give us a call and stop by. Magnum looooves visitors! We always donate to a couple stallion auctions each year and offer early bird discounts ourselves.

Maybe you'll just have to breed for your own Luna! I'm trying like crazy to hold on to her...I really want to keep showing her! LOL! Our 2 legged family is growing a bit faster than we had expected though...

If you shoot me an e-mail (info@stillseeingspots.com) we do a monthly Newsletter and I'll add you to the list. Our latest is posted right now: www.stillseeingspots.com/Newsletter.htm

(Was just looking at your site...) I remember seeing your Cher mare and her accomplishments. She should give you some great HUS babies! She gave you a colorful boy this year!

Keep in touch!

I emailed you

We were certainly think she would throw HUS babies (well this particular breeding....alll around) but that colorful boy she had this year just took 5th in open weanling halter at Worlds (need to update my site). We will see what she throws this year. She has made it a habbit of throwing to the stud so hopefully this one will be a nice HUS (and possibly all around) baby.

I have your boy on the short list for Cher's 1/2 sister for next year. I am not planning on breeding Cher becuase I would like to put her back in the ring as a walk/trot horse for my daughter for a few years.
