If I had the money I'd take him in a heartbeat. It's so sad to see animals go this way, especially when there is hope. I really hope he finds a home and a family that will help him heal properly.

I got this back from my e-mail:... well I got an actual e-mail telling me and then he forwarded this:

"Boy, you all do work fast. Amazing. Again and again each of you come through for these horses in need. Super.

Okay, we have someone to take this boy about 1/2 hour from here, they have the facilities and the experience to accept him and rehab him as a foster for us, then we will place the horse into a home once he's doing much better. We also have 2 back ups in case this one falls through in Colorado and in Michigan. YAY! Thank you all for passing this along and for jumping right on it!

DONATIONS NEEDED NOW
Our next step is to raise as much money as we can for the vet bill, our foster for him is going to invest in his vet care but she's also doing the rehab so we'd really like to help on this bill in a big way. Every penny will help. You can send donations one of two ways, a check through the mail to us or a bank to bank wire to our account. We may be able to do credit card donations directly to the vet but I have to find out which vet is going to be doing the work, we're going to let the foster pick her choice since she's doing the rehab. Send donations to:
Second Wind Adoption Program
Rt 2 Box 24A Jockey Camp Road
West Union, WV 26456
Make the check payable to Second Wind Adoption Program (put 'for saddlebred stallion All A Dream' on the check)
You can also do a bank to bank wire or a direct deposit into our account at any BB&T. If you want to do that, just let us know and we'll give you the banking information. Thank you all, I'm thrilled we can help this boy. KUDO'S TO EACH OF YOU FOR HELPING. "

Is he a bay or a chestnut? There are two horses that came up on the ASHA horse search for "All A Dream", both 2001 stallions. The bay is "It Was All a Dream" (reg - 110625), and the chestnut is "Itsall a Dream" (reg- 111152).

Has anyone contacted Saddlebred Rescue or posted him on Trot.org? They are the two biggest forces in the effort to save Saddlebreds from danger. I am sure they would help with this boy's recovery.

Yes, he already has a foster and now they're just taking donations to help with the vet bill.

Where is this Second Wind Adoptions? There is another forum where they are saying a rescue named Second Wind is a scam. Hopefully this is a different operation???? Has anyone checked?

This one is based out of WV, I believe. They are definitely NOT a scam. I have been in touch with them for several years. They've been around for quite some time.

Perhaps there is another 'scam' rescue out there trying to scam off their operation.
