Anyone use easy boots?

I have a horse that gets very stumbly on gravel, I haven't talked to my farrier yet, but it seems as if the gravel really hurts the poor guys feet. I am wondering if anyone has used easy boots, if so how do you rate them? are they worth the money? and what's a good brand. It just seems to me that for the price of shoes, I can get easy boots that will most likely last longer (at least I hope they would!) and be more economical. I'd appreciate any and all feed back, Thanks!!!

I also have the Easy Boot Bares. I love them, and they are a much better option over shoes. I used them daily when I was transitioning from shoes to barefoot and they lasted a very long time.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, as I said, I haven't yet talked to the farrier to see if he can do a corrective trim or anything, but my mom in law is like insisting on putting shoes on him so that she can ride him down the gravel roads, looooonnnnnggg story, I don't want shoes, super expensive, will if I have to but am trying very hard to avoid it!

I use Easyboot Epics and I love them. Never had any hoof damage from mine as they have the new guards on the teeth.

I would strongly recommend buying the pads that go with them as well.

I have 2 pairs of Easyboot Epics and absolutely love them. If there weren't times that I turnout with them on, I would have gone with the 'regular' Easyboots.

I also love the concept of Renegade hoof boots. But haven't heard enough positive experiences about them to buy any yet.

I've not had any problems with my Easyboots damaging the hoof wall. And actually have quite a hard time imagining how they would do so.

I'd go for the easyboot epics myself if I were you, they give a much better fit and wont fall off even over bad ground. The plain easyboots aren't bad if you're not going to be going threw really rough ground and your horse doesn't over step much.
Remember that every kind of boot fits differently and a different shaped hoof, so look around and see what you find, and decide what will work for you best.

Dawn - so you put the Easy Boot Epics on your horse for turnout?

If so - I think I'll have to invest in the Easy Boot Epics then for my TB this fall.

I need a pair of boots that can be used for turnout, lessons and hunter/jumper series over the winter.
