Anyone use an aussie saddle?

I was just curious as to who rode in one?

What's so special about them?

Aussie saddles, and I can only speak for a genuine one not those half breed ones, are very comfy. They are designed for riding all day in. They are a very secure saddle for the rider. I don't recommend jumping anything more than about 2 foot in them as they don't allow you to go forward.

If you are suspecting that your horse may try the bronc session then there is nothing better than a real aussie stock saddle to help you stay the distance.

Thanks Chester. I wish I had known about them before I bought my new saddle. I hear Aussie saddles are great for feeling secure in the seat if that's an issue.

I have ridden in one before and it wasn't too bad. The only thing I didn't like about it was the things that kind of hold your thighs in. I couldn't post w/o getting caught. (I don't remember what the are called) Other than that it was pretty comfy.

I really like them nice ones are very comfy and hard to fall out of. I used one when my horse was still very green but I was only borrowing it so I don't have one any more.

This would be an Aussie stock saddle, they don't come with horns.

They do come without thigh rolls too
