anyone see "Bite the Bullet" movie about a horse race???

Has anyone ever seen this movie? I own it and I like it but there are a few things that happen to the horses that were a little disturbing and I don't know how they could have possibly faked it Some of the scenes are just so sad but the movie actually has a point about people using their horses in a greedy way and the tragedy of it.

Anyways, any of you "old timers" like me see it? What do you think of it? The horses in it are gorgeous but I can't figure out what kind of horse Candice Bergen is riding and it makes me crazy LOL

Bite the Bullet was filmed in 1975. It stars Candice Bergen,Gene Hackman,James Coburn,Ian Bannen and Jan Michael Vincent to name a few. It's actually a great movie I just wonder if some of the things the horses go thru are just as real as they look since the movie was fimed so many years ago. The actors are great, the scenery is beautiful and the horses are cool too.

cool. i'll have to rent it sometime. I know what you mean about the animals in danger. if you ever watch "milo and otis" (kid's movie about a dog and a cat) it seems impossible for them to have kept just one dog and one cat for the whole movie, for all of those danger scenes (if u know what i mean)
